Undersea Warriors Member
To join The Undersea Warriors, a Veteran must have served in any branch of the US Military, has separated  honorably, and have a service related disability with a diagnosis of PTSD, TBI, Depression, Anxiety and/or Sexual Trauma.  

In order to dive with the Undersea Warriors, you MUST be able to have to meet the following physical Basic Dive Certification Requirements:

  • You NUST be able to swim 200 meters
  • You MUST be able to tread water for 10 minutes.  Face MUST remain clear of the water for the duration of the exercise.
  • You MUST be in good physical health and may be requested to get a physicians medical approval.

 

Non-Disabled Veterans and civilian (friend, relative or a certified diver who wants to support Veterans) volunteers are also invited to join the Undersea Warriors as a dive buddy to a qualified Veteran.

  1. Do you have a schedule of dates for classes?

  2. We do not have any set dates at this moment. We prefer to work with our Veteran and Dive Buddy teams to find a date that accommodates them.

  3. What is the minimum age for Dive Buddies

    Yes, they must be 12 years old and they can only dive with a Guardian after completing the certification per scuba safety guidelines.

  4. Is a Dive Buddy mandatory?

    No, a Veteran can enroll in the program by their self, but we support registering with a dive buddy to help encourage the Veteran to out of self isolation and interacting with others.

To join The Panthers Warriors, a player must have been in any branch of the US Military, have served honorably, and have a disability as a result of active duty.  In order to play as a Panthers Warrior in either the USA Hockey Warrior Classic or the USA Hockey Disabled Festival, a player must meet the USA Hockey Warrior Hockey Eligibility Criteria.  Non-Disabled Veterans are also invited to join the Panthers Warriors Hockey Program where you will be able to attend practices, other games, tournaments (non-disabled), and our adult hockey league team.

Basic Panthers Warriors Player Requirements:

  • Players Must be registered with USA Hockey.
  • For safety reasons, all players must have basic Adult League equivalent hockey skills and skating ability (assessed by Panthers Warriors Hockey coaching staff).
  • For Veterans who do not have ice hockey experience, but want to learn to skate or play hockey, the Florida Panthers offer a Learn to Skate and Learn to Play program.  Please let us know if you do not have any ice skating or hockey experience, but want to learn.  Send an email to newplayer@underseawarriors.net.
