UNDERSEA WARRIORS BENEFICIARY  REQUIREMENTS:

To be a beneficiary of the  Undersea Warriors, a Veteran must have served in any branch of the US Military, has separated  honorably, and have a service related disability with a diagnosis of PTSD, TBI, Depression, Anxiety and/or Sexual Trauma.

For all SCUBA certifications, you must meet the following minimum physical requirements:
– You MUST be able to swim 200 meters
– You MUST be able to tread water for 10 minutes.  Face MUST remain clear of the water for the duration of the exercise.
– You MUST be in good physical health and may be requested to get a physicians medical approval.

*Non-Disabled Veterans and civilian (friend, relative or a certified diver who wants to support Veterans) volunteers are also invited to join the Undersea Warriors as a dive buddy to a qualified Veteran.

Email the completed and signed forms and a copy of your DD-214 (redacted if you would like) & your VA Award Letter with your diagnosis to newmember@underseawarriors.net

If you do not want to send in your medical diagnosis on the registration form, we can arrange a confidential phone meeting with a medical professional to confirm you meet the medical conditions for the Undersea Warriors.

 

UNDERSEA WARRIORS PROGRAM FAQ

Do you have a schedule of dates for classes?

We do not have any set dates at this moment. We will work with our members to find a day of the week and time that will accommodate the majority of the members.

What is the minimum age for Dive Buddies

Yes, they must be 12 years old and they can only dive with a Guardian after completing the certification per scuba safety guidelines.

Is a Dive Buddy Mandatory?

No, you can enroll in the program yourself,  We support registering with a dive buddy to support  you and help encourage each other to complete your e- learning and open water dives while interacting with others. Remember, No One Dives Alone!
